3rd Grade
Weekly Update, Families!
Hello Barracuda Families! Just a reminder to please purchase your child's Third Grade Spirit Shirt if you haven't already! Our third-grade shirts are green and $15 each. Students will wear these shirts for field trips, Field Day, and other special school events, and they may also wear them on Fridays to show their RAMS spirit.
Shirts can be purchased through the My School Bucks Store. When ordering, please select your child's shirt size and homeroom teacher. The deadline to order is September 25, so please be sure to purchase your child's shirt before the store closes!

Reminders
- We are working to build an online behavior tracker that will hopefully be ready for the second quarter. If there are any behavior concerns right now, we will email you.
- Please send your child with over-the-ear headphones.
- Please send your child with a snack for recess each day.

- We will use strategies such as repeated addition, number lines, arrays, and equal groups to understand multiplication.
Science
- We will measure and compare the volume, mass, and temperature of matter.
Reading, Writing & Social Studies
Reading
- We will explain how text and graphic features contribute to meaning, retell key events to summarize a text, and explain how a character develops across a story.
Writing
- We will learn how to write a letter and practice writing the cursive i and t.
Grammar
- We will learn the difference between common and proper nouns and identify them in sentences.
Social Studies
- We will review for our Chapter 1: Our Communities Test.
